Last laugh: Lore’l and her friends call him corny, a moniker she repeated about the actor in a recent video.
Both have a real history.
In the podcast, Lore’l admits she and her friends made fun of the Just Mercy star when they were in high school.
‘To be honest with you, we made fun of him the whole time because his name was Michael Jordan. Let’s start there, and he’s not Michael Jordan,’ she said rudely.
Then she went into a trance.
“And he will also come to school with a headshot,” she said.
“We lived in Newark, this is the hood. We would make fun of him like, “What are you going to do with your stupid head!?” Now look at him, she said.

Teen heartthrob: The Black Panther star, pictured here aged 16 in 2003, has been working since he was 12.

NOT corny: He appeared in episodes of The Sopranos, The Wire and CSI before landing a role on All My Boys when he was 16
She also mocked Jordan’s Valentine’s Day gift to his ex-girlfriend Lori Harvey, calling him a ‘corn man’.
At that time, he rented an aquarium for Lori’s special occasion.
But Lore’l was furious when she confronted the hero without remorse, saying, ‘We’re going way back, all the way to Chad’s academy in Newark.’
He turns out to be a Fruitvale Station player who listens to a podcast where she mentions their past relationship and remembers who she really is.
That’s when he made the comment.
Lore’l tried to hide her surprise, saying: ‘I said we were joking about the name. But yeah, well, you don’t have hair anymore.’
Fans of the Fahrenheit 451 actor rushed to his defense on social media.
‘You called him a kingdom. Now you have to call him actor, director, superstar, hollywood mogul. A living legend. He took this sh** personally,’ one fan commented.
‘That’s why you don’t insult, mock or pick on people. Now she is working the red carpet at the premiere of his film. Perfect time money can’t buy tbh,’ another added.

Man in black: The actor, 36, wore all black at the Atlanta premiere of the new installment in the Creed franchise
And Jordan had the last laugh. He has been an active actor since the age of 12, appearing on The Sopranos, Cosby, The Wire and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation all before he turned 16.
When he was old enough to get his driver’s license, he was also starring in the long-running soap opera All My Children.
Last week, the actor sat down to talk with the hosts of Good Morning America.
‘As successful as you are, you are hungry. There is this desire in you to be all that you can be,’ the hosts said.
The Fantastic Four star replied, ‘Life is short.’
He praised his parents who set an example for him and how they work hard. The Wakanda Forever star also mentioned that he understands loss.
“Getting people close to me that’s not here and understanding that you have a short time to make an impact and wanting to inspire people to do the right thing especially the next step,” he said.
“So as long as I can lead by example and squeeze every drop out of this thing called life that’s what I’m going to do,” he said.

The trio of co-stars: Jordan showed up with Jonathan Majors and Tessa Thompson at a fan show at the Regal Atlanta on February 23.
